Sheets of Bib. Tengujo paper are layered. On my first sheet, I draw with various technical pens. Lines are on the verge of breaking. They float, suspended, wandering in the white space. What is inscribed already permeates the subsequent layers, which retain the graphic like alluvium, a sediment settling. These graphic strata create density, depth. There is something on both sides, and our eye ventures beyond the surface. I draw, attentive to the slightest trace that sparks a new impulse, a meditation to come.
